Schoolwork! Whoo!

Gotta love a class that lets you draw giant monsters popping outa someone's back.

Anyways, this was done for my current class Monster, for an assignment based around the theme of "Transformation". I wanted originally to do some sort of alternate take on the normal concept of a transformation sequence; something involving an almost destroying of the original shape to go into the next one, rather than a smooth change. The original is lost, and the new takes it's place, rather than being sort of halfway there like for most werewolf myths.

It ended up getting away from that a bit when I got neat concept ideas for what exactly the deal with this particular monster is, but I think it'll go down well in class regardless.

Deal behind the monster being, it's a bit of a play on the whole "if you're bitten by a werewolf, you become a werewolf" thing, except if you're bitten by this and then it dies somehow, it'll come back to life by being "reborn" out of the person who's been bit... Or something of that nature. Kinda a vengeance "hero beats monster, got bit during the fight, becomes the vessel through which the monster comes back" thing. I might come back to the concept some time, iron it out a bit, I rather like it.

It was pretty fun to do painting again, I've been doing almost entirely cell shading recently.
